This vest is excellent for wearing while playing golf and tennis in the spring and fall. During the winter my husband wears this in the house . It is made of quality fleece and it washes well.

I can't say enough about this vest, it really is great for every situation in autumn, when the mornings may be chilly and the breeze picks up, yet still not cool enough for a parka. This vest seems to have given me superpowers to ward off uncomfortable situations. My coworkers are always trying to figure out the right combination of layers--while I stay perfectly comfortable in my fleece vest. And, a strange woman even "petted" me the other day, just to see if the vest is as soft as it looks. It is.

This product is well finished, as one would expect with Columbia products. In my opinion, the thickness of the fabric seems thinner then one would expect at this price point. I tried it under a rain coat and confirmed that it did not provide the warmth I had expected. The item is probably OK for late Spring or early Fall.

This is a nice looking vest for the $. I usually wear a large but ordered medium after reading reviews. The fit is perfect. However, I didn't know they made fleece this thin. It is definitely light weight. I will definitely wear this vest but now need to look for something warmer as well. I love the zippered pockets.

The Cathedral Peak Vest has been a great addition to my wardrobe. It offers warmth to the body core without all the bulk of sleeves. I use it as a jacket when temperatures are above freezing and as a layer below a jacket when below freezing. Looks great with business casual clothing as well as weekend casual. The only criticism would be the slightly grayish-blue color of the Columbia Navy. If you're looking for a true dark Navy, then another brand would be recommended.

I purchased a red vest and a navy vest (I already own black and gray). The red is very vibrant (I like it), but the navy is not a true navy. It is closer to a dark teal and does not match other navy clothing well. Although I was disappointed by the color difference, I love these vests because they are warm and very versatile.

Why don't they make internal pockets from the external hand pocket lining. It's so handy to be able to load things from the top into the large pockets that you find on similar fleecy vests from other vendors. It wouldn't cost much more to sew the hand pocket linings so that you get two large top loading internal pockets. I literally have to have them custom sewn into mine because I find them so essential. Come on Columbia!

I am very SATISFIED with this Vest!!! Bought a couple of them over the years and it does not get any better! It fits true to size and is very lightweight, but it keeps you very warm. This is a great item to buy!

Would give 5 stars, but the material (fabric) is not as strong as the one I used to have a few years ago. It is very confortable and I like the design.

It's a quality product and it fits. The only issue I have is that I wish the fleece was thicker. I have a Columbia vest purchased 8 years ago and it's quite obvious that the thickness of the material from the purchase 8 years ago is much thicker and the price was lower.
I would recommend this product.

I am extremely satisfied with this product. It fits fairly true to size and is very lightweight, yet still keeps me warm. One key point I overlooked while placing my order however, was the fact that the vest does not have a drawstring to tighten at the waist. Overall, it's a great item!

This is a Steens Mtn jacket without the sleeves or the drawcord in the hem. The fit is the same (had to order a size down), the fleece is the same (loose, great for insulating under a shell but worthless against wind), and by and large the colors are the same. If the vest had the drawcord in the hem, I'd have given it four stars.
I would recommend this product.

An excellent value, snug fit works perfect for me, simple no frills clothing that's effective and versatile, might be nice to make one using omni-heat lining, love the shade of brown with contrasting collar, owned previous one 5 years, durable!

After 5 years of constant wear I recently replaced not only the one...but ordered 3 different colors. Great layering piece....looks good with casual wear in addition to the camping/fishing application. Highly recc based on quality and style.

I purchased my first vest about 2 yrs ago and I have worn it out. I work in a manufacturing facility the makes ice cream products. I use the vest to stay warm and its not bulky like a jacket. I love the large pockets for my small tools and pens. I had to order a new one on line because the REI store here in Oak Brook did not have any.
So just to say, "These are not just for the out doors. They work wonderful in doors too."
I would recommend this product.

I bought this for my husband. He has worn Columbia fleece vests, daily, for many years, whether in Colorado or Arizona, for fishing and golf and working in the garden. I finally decided he needed a new one for his birthday and he loves it, put it on right away and the fit is super. Thanks for being there!
