Great Product I used this for hiking and sailing as a baselayer. Fits greats and will keep you warm. Note its a midweight. Therefore you may need a little extra to keep you warm depending on how well you deel with the cold. December 7, 2011
Warm and Tight Bought this for the deer stand and for skiing in Tahoe...very warm and comfortable! The midweight is plenty for someone hot-natured like myself! December 1, 2011
like mithril first cold weather base layer purchased. this thing is pretty awesome. It'll keep you at a great, comfy temperature if it's a bit breezy or cool outside. This effect is greatly reduced if exposed to wind (i.e. layering with short sleeves), but this can be used to your advantage based on the outside temp and how much moving you'll be doing. Also doesn't stink up very much at all. The shiny omni-heat dots are pretty nifty too. November 23, 2011
I love it , Warm, lightweight layer As a runner, I bought this for running in cooler weather and for layering when it gets downright cold. I thought the omni-heat dots might be a gimmick but was surprised at how warm I stayed while running on a morning in the low 30s. It was plenty breathable and surprisingly comfortable. Definitely a new favorite. November 23, 2011
Warm Warm Warm!! When I first saw that Columbia was introducing a new base layer I was hoping it would be something that fits close to the body. Sure enough it was exactly that along with the Omni Heat! I wore this to a very cold football game and was warm all quarters! Bravo Columbia! November 23, 2011
Kept me warm I wore the shirt when I had to work outside on a very cold day. I started when it was 18 degrees outside and it warmed up to a cool 40 degrees. The shirt kept me warm with minimal layering so my clothes weren't too bulky to be working in. I was worried the inside of the shirt would be scratchy against my skin but it was soft. Wish it was a turtleneck because I will only wear it when it is cold outside. Negative: When I took my jacket off and I cooled down too much, my body had to warm the shirt up first then it kept me warm. I have hiking boots with the same technology and if I stop my activity for too long and my feet get cold then they don't warm back up until after I am moving for awhile and sometimes it takes too long to warm my feet back up. Shirt seemed to have the same issue. It is perfect as long as my body stays warm. If I get cold then I have to be active for the shirt to work. November 13, 2011
Like a second skin I thought the silver dots against my skin would be a little irritating, but you don't even feel them. What I like about these is that they are thin yet still keep you nice and warm. Only drawback is they fit a little too tight around my forearms. Would recommend and will buy more. November 9, 2011
Stay Warm This product has a great range of motion. I have been wearing it for 13 hour and it is still comfortable and warm. November 5, 2011
Good baselayer Omni-heat technology keeps you warm, without being bulky. It's awesome! November 4, 2011
Perfect Fit This shirt runs a little tight...but for me that's what it's supposed to do, it was snug, I wore it out as a test run while taking the munchkins trick or treating, I found that once I started moving the cold I was feeling disappeared and in fact was warm with the extra layer I had put on.I may need to pruchase the jacket verson next.I can't wait to test it out on the ski slopes to keem me warm and dry. November 1, 2011
Great Shirt My wife bought this shirt for my birthday. Works great as an under layer, or alone, while running. Those Michigan winters can great pretty cold, but this shirt works great. Only thing I can find wrong is the sleeves are a little snug for my comfort. October 27, 2011
Surpassed expectations I liked this midweight top from the beginning but I was waiting for the temperature to drop below 40 to try it outdoors and see how well it performed. I live in Minnesota and I like the outdoors, but I don't like to wear many layers or cloth or heavyweight gear. This midweight top and a light sweater is all you'll need to enjoy the outdoors comfortably at any temperature below 60 and above 30. Below this range and down to 0 (depending on your tolerance to cold) a scarf and some gloves would still be enough to keep you warm and comfortable. So far this fall I've wore it with nothing more than a light sweater at tailgates, football matches, excursions into the woods and outdoor fairs at night and it has been up to the task every time. This fall I've never actually had to wear a jacket while wearing this top. October 23, 2011
Mens Baselayer long sleve top well it was free, and that is always good. My grand son wears them everyday in the summer he wears the short sleeve ones and in winter he wears the long sleeve ones. He says it helps with the moisture. October 22, 2011
Wow... This thing works like they say it will. End of story. Buy one! October 16, 2011
Men' Baselayer Review I wore this shirt out on a cold morning the weekend after I got it, and loved it. This kept me warm and dry! October 12, 2011
Base Layer Great foundation for layering. Will be my go-to base layer when I'm looking at ski slopes with a great base. October 11, 2011
aselayer Loved it, perfect weight! October 9, 2011
Great way to start your cold weather lineup I just recently received my shirt and tried it on. I fell in love with it instantly. I cant wait for the weather to get cooler so I can add this to my regular clothing line up. October 5, 2011
Nice Baselayer. Just received this baselayer shirt. The fabric is comfortable and moves well with the body. It seems to have more of an athletic fit versus a roomy/baggy fit. The arm length is great. I often have to buy a size larger simply for arm length and this time I did not. I am looking forward to the temperatures dropping so I can get outside in this item. October 5, 2011
Nice shirt I could tell right away when I put this on that it was going to be a warm one. It fits well and looks good. The magic silver heating stuff inside feels a little rubbery, but I got used to it. October 4, 2011
Works as it Should I like it as a base layer, the arms being so high in the arm pit was a little different and felt odd at first but I did get used to it. Except for some initial itching on my arms I felt no major itching from the Omni-Heat. This is my first garment with the tech so I believe that the itching was caused by the transition from the short sleeve to long sleeve season. I loved how long the arms are on this, allot of times you get base layer shirts that have the arm length about 4 inches to short, this one was great. This will be part of my usual base layer setup. October 4, 2011
Great product! Amazing shirt. This item keeps me extremely warm when moving up to higher elevations. Light weight. I use this as an under layer when going to around 10K feet and it's perfect for what I do. October 4, 2011
really small I did not get a chance to "field test" the shirt because it is at least 2 sizes too small for me. I have several Columbia shirts all in XL that fit great. I ordered a XXL becuase the description indicated body contour. Be aware. October 3, 2011
I like it a lot I like the baselayer shirt, it does its job. The only knock I have against it (and most Columbia Sportswear) is the fitting. In the past I ordered larges because they fit me better excpet for the length of the sleeves. So I ordered this shirt in medium and the sleeves fit me better but the shirt us a little tigth, which I don't mind b/c I wear the baselayer under another shirt.I love Columbia though and this is a product that performs its function. September 30, 2011
super shirt this is a super warm lightweight shirt at a fair price September 30, 2011
LOVE IT The baselayer is perfect for doing exactly what it says its going to do: keeping you warm. Its very comfortable and is great for those cold nights when you need that extra little boost of warmth or early in the morning to take the chill of when you hit the single track. September 30, 2011
Great Product! This is a great product, and I'm actually looking forward to dropping temperatures this year! September 30, 2011
Good Underlayer for Motocycling Perfect base layer for Fall motorcycling: keeps you warm in cool morning hours, but doesn't overheat you as the day's temperature rises. September 30, 2011
Awesome Shirt for Northern Climates I bought this shirt in black, size L, for my husband to wear during the upcoming winter -- but he didn't have long to wait. The temperature dropped into the 50s the day after I gave it to him and he wore it golfing! It's attractive, light-weight (he won the tournament), and extremely comfortable. It's true to size (he wears a 42L). According to my husband, this shirt is his new "favorite" to layer when he is involved in sports or just desires to stay warm, especially when he doesn't want to add weight or bulk or restrict his movement. From my standpoint, it's very attractive on him whether he wears it alone or under other garments. September 30, 2011
very tight This top seems very snug which seems to be all the rage these days, this style of fit radically departs from the historical thinking of "loose layers" for winter so for an old guy this takes getting used to. Other than initial fit, I'll know more when winter shows up. September 30, 2011
Baselayer Reveiw Overall I like this base-layer. It performed as advertised. I'v used this on a couple of Mountain Bike rides and without a jacket it kept the core area at just the right temp. When the clouds came in and the temp dropped I slipped on a lightweight jacket and the shirt kept me dry and warm. Can't wait to try it out when snowboard weather arrives. September 30, 2011
