I've worn these on various hikes around Colorado and they've preformed great. Never thought I'd be a fan of Columbia boots and shoes, but I own several of each and they all perform beyond expectations and in all conditions. These boots, with winter socks, have worked well through light snow and temps in the 20s.

I purchased several shoes from Columbia however this wasn't best shoes I ever bought it. Recently I purchased two different style but similar shoes however this wasn't best feel and nice to wear it. It runs little bit bigger than the other I bought same time. Also it doesn't really feel to snuggly my foot.

I am trying the Outdry because the previous shoes I had with omni tech didn't last very long. Hopefully these will.

I got these boots to replace a worn out pair of low cut "name brand" hiking shoes. I broke them in at my gym by doing stair master and high incline treadmill; 4 miles total. i went to southwest VA this weekend for a 3 day hike on some pretty nasty rocky trails. I used two different types of sicks just to see how my feet fit the boot and neither made a difference!
These boots performed exceptionally on rough, sharp mountain rock trails. The font is true and the durability of the sole on sharp trial rocks is impressive. I had one small hot spot on the top of he heel part but the boots are still being broken in.
When they say waterproof they mean it. I didn't spray my boots just straight to the trails. It rained a lot on day 2 and as I was hiking through spring creeks and soupy mud the boots kept me dry and comfortable.

I purchased these because I wanted something comfortable as well as something that will not wear down. The material is very sturdy and most definitely water proof as the description says and drys very quickly. I can't wait to put some miles on these in the Smokies once I break them in! The Omni-Traction is also outstanding!
