Great alpine ski jacketI really like this jacket, with a good mid layer it is great for skiing days where it is above -12 celsius, for colder days I use a warmer jacket. The look is great. It is comfortable and offers ample movement. It is also very practical and well thought out for skiing.

Great Ski CoatLove the coat. Very light weight, yet warm and comfy in the cold. Only beef is that the Burnt Red coat is more orangey that what is displayed in the picture. It sparked quite a debate between my wife and I. I'm insisting it is red with and orange tint, she says it is orange. Either way it is a great looking coat with great features for a skiier.

Not very warmI had purchased this jacket thinking that where it was geared for skiing that it would be a warm jacket. I had tried it on outside in 30ish degree weather and it was not warm enough. Probably great for spring skiing, but not so much for cold New England weather. I ended up returning it for a warmer Columbia jacket.

Great ski jacketI bought this jacket to replace my previous Columbia Titanium soft shell ski parka that was 10 years old. I have tried several other Columbia and Mountain Hardwear jackets, but this one seem like a good compromise of features and comfort. It has the perfect amount of insulation and warmth, and paired with the right base layers I was plenty warm on 8 degree days. It has a slight stretch to the material which is much needed for free movement on the hill. My critiques would be the external chest pocket is angled a bit awkwardly making it harder to get things out, and the waist is a bit tighter than my previous jacket. I'm 5'9 150 lbs, athletic build and I ordered a small.

Awesome Winter CoatThis is one of those products that you just have to try it to really appreciate how great it is. Let me start out by saying I am NOT a skier/snowboarder, but I saw this coat and loved the look of it. Here is my review of the following features on this coat:
WARMTH: This coat contains 60g of Omni-heat insulation, and when you first put this coat on you will probably think 'this isn't going to be a warm enough coat'. While temperatures comforts are subjective, I can assure you I live in the northern United States (Minnesota) and have been wearing this coat (with mid layers such as a 1/4 zip fleece or sweater) over the past month in temperatures down to 10 degrees with windchill down to -10 and it has kept me warm. The elastic cuffs inside the sleeves keep any cool breezes out, plus the snow skirt at the bottom of the coat keeps the cool air out (even when it is not snapped together). The hood is great too because it is easy to adjust and it lays flat against the coat when you are not using it.
WATERPROOF: I used this last weekend when I was outside for over 3 hours in 20 degree weather and it was snowing all afternoon. It kept my dry even with the snow falling and melting on this coat. The outer-shell definitely does its job of keeping moisture out, yet it is nice and stretchy and breathes really well (you won't need to worry about getting sweaty from the inside out). I didn't get wet through the zippers either so they did their job well too.
OVERALL FEATURES: This jacket is loaded with cool features. It has a two-way zipper you can unzip from the bottom if you are sitting down. It has a waterproof pocket on the outside that is easy to access your cell phone/personal items you want to keep dry. The pockets on the inside of the coat are great as well for storing items you want to keep dry. The two hand pockets on the outside of the jacket have great hand-warmer pockets. The snow skirt has a rubber/sticky property to it so it stays 'stuck' to your pants which seals off cool drafts. I haven't used the pit-zips, but they will be handy if it gets really warm while I am wearing this jacket, plus you can adjust the bottom hem of the coat to seal out cold air too. Plus, again the comfort cuffs are really great to keep the cold air out of the sleeves.
OVERALL THOUGHTHS: I cannot stress this enough, this is just a great overall winter coat. It is warm, but without the 'puffy/heavy' properties. It will work great for everything from hitting the slopes to your daily commute. If you are looking for a nice, clean winter coat with some great features you should check this coat out, you really have to try it to appreciate all of the thought that went into this great product.
