boots creased & hurt toesBoots creased & hurt toes from day one! Cannot be broken in properly. Cannot return after wearing them outside. How to test hiking boots without hiking? I'd like to test them in the rain, but that's not possible. Will have to return them.

Way better boots out there for the price. For the money, this boot is not a good buy at all. Water seeps into the seams in the "vented" areas easily. Sole has no shank or support whatsoever. On the upside, they are pretty light but the sole material crushes out after light use. I've used these in various conditions that include mud, snow, and dry trail. These boots are best for fair weather hikers or wanna-bes that wear hiking boots around town. I've shifted to only wearing these around town in winter months for the ankle support and average grip in icy conditions.
Bottom line: Look elsewhere for quality boots at this pricepoint.

NOT WATERPROOFED AT ALL!!!Bought these shoes for my son. They´re supposed to keep water out. That is so UNTRUE!! His socks were soaking wet after the first use.

Decent Entry Hiking BootI purchased these boots to supplement my trail-runners for hiking in CO. I was looking for additional ankle support for rocky climbs and descents. The traction of the boot worked great on loose gravel and sand; however, the ankle support is not sturdy enough and flexes too much. This boot will be great for short 1 - 2 hour hikes but I don't see myself using it for anything longer.
