The Ventfreak gives excellent arch support while being light in weight. The multi purpose feature is what really sold me on this shoe. Whether on the asphalt or in the woods the Ventfreak satisfies all the requirements I look for in this well - made footwear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Walksfar Terrific all-around shoe
walk the dog in the rain without getting feet wet - still have to dry off the dog's feet though; casual Friday; all purpose weekend casual; gym workouts/cardio training; wear anytime you can't or don't want to wear regular shoes or sandals. The fact that they fit a bit small was good for me since I have a narrow foot.

My usual athletic shoe is +1 over street shoe so...went with the 13. Fit like a glove !This is sturdy with excellent support. I overpronate and this shoe helps without putting orthotics in. Actually was pleasantly surprised that I wore them today for golf. Much better support than most softspike golfshoes and a better price point. Top of sneaker is soft and comfortable. I can see me wearing these sneakers everyday. For I guy who has problems buying shoes/sneakers...these are fantastic.

Runs slightly smaller than Nike. Great shoes. Perfect for the Pacific Northwest.

The first pair came and was a tad tight, so I ordered a half size larger, those fit perfectly. I'm a professional caddy so I have to have my feet dry, and every pair of Columbia shoes I have owned, 4 now, have held up to the dryness needs I demand. They are comfortable out of the box and hold up very well.
The only item on all of the excellent (Outdry) waterproof shoes I wish Columbia would offer is no tie laces. Other than that I love these shoes.

I bought these shoes for the Outdry tech. I ride a bicycle in the Pacific NW almost everyday. I got tired of having to either wear terrible booties or bring a second pair of shoes to the office to change into when it rains.
These have way outperformed my expectations. Rode for 30 minutes in a couple of terrible down pours and my feet were totally dry and comfortable.
They are pretty rigid in the construction and have put up with a good beating in the month I've been wearing them. They still look good and I wear them around the office almost every day.
