I got this coat as a liner for my rain shell when it's not quite cold enough to break out the ski coat. I took both to Germany with me and when it wasn't raining, this is all I needed! It was the last two weeks of October and not much warmer than 35-40°F the whole trip. Absolutely would recommend to anyone. I loved the teal color too. Not super great with wind and does repell light rain but just perfect under the shell.
I am 5'8/130 lbs and have long arms, the medium fit perfectly.

I loved the color and style but it ran extremely small for me. I wear XL across the board and this coat was skin tight. I exchanged for the same size of a different style and fit perfect.

Was looking for a light weight jacket to get me through spring, fall and some milder winter days, but without a hood. Found it in the Kaleidaslope! Love the soft collar, doesn't irritate my chin and lies flat when I want it to. The pin-tuck detailing on the body gives it a feminine look, and of course, thumb holes! This is my first Columbia coat with Omni-Shield and was slightly skeptical that it would be warm, being the coat weighs nothing at all, but it performs beautifully in cold weather. Love it!

I have spent a good amount of time researching coats on a quest for one that fits my versatile needs. I finally found one in the Kaleidaslope™ II Jacket.
- active fit and flattering diagonal pattern style, so I don't look like I'm drowning like boxy-style coats (I wear it hiking and when running errands.)
- thin, yet warm due to the omni-heat lining, so I don't look puffy AND great weight/thickness for layering under my Gortex raincoat
- fuzzy collar that is warm against my neck like a built-in scarf
- built-in thumb holes to keep my hands protected
- internal zipper security pocket for my wallet, keys, chapstick or whatever
- omni-shield good at protecting from water AND blocking wind

I ordered this jacket direct from Colombia due to the price and was in stock, but was pleasantly surprised at the ease of the web site and information available while ordering. I spent the extra $ to have this and a few other accessories overnighted and got exactly that! My order was at my door in 2 days and my package was in pristine condition. The size was perfect and the color is great. Great job Colombia!! You now have a very loyal customer for life! Thank you :)

I've had this jacket for 3 Alaskan winters, it might not get as cold as it did 20 years ago but we still a couple of 20 below (zero) days in. Don't worry it's a dry cold lol. This jacket has performed well, maintained warmth and shape, still looks nice, though it can snag.
