GREAT SHIRTS FOR THE PRICE!I read the other reviews before I wrote mine and I have to say maybe I got lucky with the shirts I ordered. I ordered SIX of these at the reduced price of $29.98 and love them! I also love the Tamiami II long sleeve/convertible shirts and have several of those. This Silver Ridge shirt is lightweight, sheds water (not waterproof), and comes in great color combinations. I recently gained a bunch of weight so had to replace some of my wardrobe with a bigger size :-( and glad to find these shirts at a lower price. Will get me through the summer in style. They wash well and dry quickly. I haven't had any issues with seams or anything else, at least not yet. For the price, I thought these were a great buy! I'm wearing one right now as I write this review!

Love the look... but hate the performanceI have 2 of these shirts. The first one I got it had a seam that came undone after 2-3 months. Not a big deal I figured it got caught on something in the washer or dryer. I was going on a 3 week Euro vacation and wanted something light and I could hand wash. I got another of these shirts. It was great for the first week or so then I went to wash it and I noticed the back was all fuzzy and looked awful! I could not figure what happened at first then I realized that my backpack rubbing on the back of the shirt was the issue. Non of my other clothes had issues with my day pack. I think an outdoor shirt should be able to be worn with a backpack without pills forming. When I got home I used a fabric shaver on the pills and it made it look better but the shirt is ruined after just 3 weeks. I now don't think the first one was a fluke. 2 shirts that didn't even last a season what a waste.

Quality lackingI purchased two of these shirts and had to return one immediately after I found a number of seams that weren't sewn shut on the sleeves and body of the shirt.
Something isn't quite right with the quality on this shirt. This isn't at all indicative of the high quality merchandise that Columbia sells. Perhaps this is a new vendor?

Dissapointed in the Thread PullsSo I bought this shirt in a 2x in the summer plaid and loved wearing it. But then I washed it (mind you I did clean it according to the directions) and it came out with about fifty thread pulls all along the right side of the garment. I can only wonder if this is a manufacturing issue since I did everything by the book, gentle cycle by itself, garment inside out, no heat cycle in dryer. Now I have no idea how I am going to wear this shirt because for $60 this should not happen. I am an avid fan of Columbia and would shop here again but I wouldn't reccomend purchasing this shirt.
