Since we previously bought jacket, snow pants etc from Columbia we expected the same quality. Unfortunately, we found out that from the first day my daughter has her feet soaked. It is really frustrating. I'm glad that we didn't buy similar shoes for my wife. I will never buy any Columbia footwear.

So frustrating. I spend extra money to get quality boots for my daughter and they make her feet soaked. Not happy having to buy new boots in February.

Rated 1 out of 5 by mom2four these are not waterproof
it is not yet Febuary and I am out to buy new boots. My child comes home everyday with soaking wet feet. They look great but do not function well. She's older and doesn't play in the snow yet her feet are always wet. It's frustrating because I specifically bought them because they say they're waterproof. What a waste of money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Emilina My daughter loves these boots
The boots are very warm for the cold winter days and very comfortable. They are especially light on the feet and have a great sole that makes them great for playing outdoors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jan250 Purchased for an adult
I am an adult who normally wear a average size 6 adult shoe. I purchased the black size 5 and it still leaves lots of room to wear thicker socks. The shoes are also lightweight and very comfortable. I wonder how the size 4 would fit me because the size 5 was roomy but i guess it will work well when you add thick socks to it. Looks nice though. The kids shoe looks exactly like the adult version. I tried on the adults version in Columbia store but they did not have a black pair. The only difference is the kids shoe has the blue labels at the top with blue and black lacings and it is cheaper than the adult version and still looks great. Great traction at the bottom.

I am a Penn State student who needed good snow boots for our winter of snow and ice so I bought these boots about 6 months ago and am now writing a review after lasting the entire winter. The tread on the bottom of these boots are great and I did not slip once in ice or snow while wearing these boots. I water tested them by standing in a few inches of snow and even jumping in a huge puddle of water and stood there for about a minute and they were perfectly fine. Because they are children boots, they only go to about the mid-calf which was fine for me (I am 5'2). I am a size 7 and a half in womens and bought a size 6 in kids. They are perfectly warm with winter socks/fuzzy socks. With colder weather (e.g. 20 degrees Fahrenheit and below) my feet got a little chilly with normal no show socks which also give more room in the boot which had to then be tied up tight. Overall, I love them and will probably have them for a few more years at least.

I bought these boots less than 3 months ago because of the brand and they were supposed to be waterproof. It says right on the boot "WATERPROOF" but they definitely aren't. My daughter loves these boots but every day she comes home with wet socks/feet from the boots. And the boots look wet all the way up the boot. She is 8, almost 9 - not intentionally jumping in puddles at this age. Also the laces are too long. They are always coming undone from being stepped on. Finally the stitching along the top of the tread (it's visible when worn and runs entire boot from toe to heel to toe) is fraying. Makes me think it might comes apart soon. For $90 and Columbia brand name I expect more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Lucy234 Very cute but not waterproof!
My daughter loved how light and comfortable the boots were but had periodic complaints of cold feet during the winter. Now that the spring melt has started, it is absolutely clear that these boots are not waterproof or even water resistant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by WinterDad Good daily boot inside and out.
My 8 year old wears these to school in Cleveland winter with toasty feet all day. She and my wife both wear them all day at home too. They do get wet inside after a day playing in the snow and some of the threading is starting to show wear after 1 month under kid use. Overall, for the sale price, they are a great girl boot with a safe tread and are very lightweight.
